We are tiny cabin and alternative accommodation rentals located in Pinawa, Manitoba.

Hidden in Pinawa’s first seasonal campground, Hidden Haven is deceivingly private. We are eclectic partially off-grid accommodations located on beautiful waterfront property. Leaning into our “cabin camping” concept, we offer the amenities that make your stay comfortable and cozy.

Juniper Cabin is our beloved first tiny cabin to open at Hidden Haven. More accommodation is coming soon!

What is partially off-grid?

Our rentals are partially off-grid, offering a balance between modern comforts and an immersive nature experience.
Electricity is available in some accommodations. We encourage guests to use energy-efficient devices and be mindful of consumption. We are also exploring solar options for sustainable power.
Traditional plumbing is not available, and running water is limited. Each rental includes a 5-gallon jug of drinking water, and some cabins have a 40-gallon water jug for the indoor kitchen.
Rentals available during cooler months are equipped with a wood stove or heater. Air conditioning is not available, but fans are provided for added comfort.
Some cabins have a private composting toilet, while all rentals have access to a shared shower facility and washroom.
Each rental has its own setup and amenities. Please review the details on the booking page to see what’s included in your stay.

Booking policy:

All bookings are a 2-night minimum, 3-night minimum on long weekends.
Reservations are non-transferable.
Rates may be subject to change without notice. However, once you receive a booking confirmation your price is guaranteed.
Guests must leave the cabin in the same condition as at the start of their stay.
100% of payment is due at time of booking.

Damage Policy:

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the cabin property during their stay.
Damage includes but is not limited to broken or missing items, furniture, appliances, fixtures, walls, flooring, windows, doors, and any other part of the cabin.
Guests must reimburse the owner for the cost of repair or replacement, at the discretion of the owner.

Guest & Minor Policy:

Occupancy is 2 guests per cabin. Our accommodation is small and greater occupancy might not be suitable for larger parties. Please contact us directly if you have any questions.
For larger groups, consider booking other accommodation on the property to complement your stay.
Guests are not permitted.
Children must be under active supervision by a parent/guardian at all times. Parents/guardians are solely responsible for minors well-being and care.

Check in/check out:

Check in after 4:00pm and checkout at 11:00am
Check in/check out is available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday only.
Late check-out might be possible for a fee and is dependent on other bookings. Contact us to discuss.
You will receive self check-in instructions upon booking.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations 30 days or more notice will only be subject to an administration fee (25$).
Cancellations with 14-30 days notice will forfeit 50% their reservation.
Cancellations with less than 14 days notice will forfeit the entire amount of the reservation.
If we are able to rebook the canceled dates, the full payment minus the 25$ administration fee will be refunded appropriately.

Pet Policy:

There is a pet cleaning fee of 30$ per stay.
Only one pet allowed per stay.
All waste must be picked up and disposed of.
Pets must be well behaved, not bark excessively, and not show aggression.
Pets are not allowed on the campground beach and must be on leash within the campground.

Parties and events:

Smoking

Absolutely no smoking or vaping is allowed in any building at Hidden Haven. If you smoke or vape, please do so outside and dispose of your waste appropriately.

Wood stoves & Fire pits:

Parties and events are not permitted.
Keep sound to a minimum from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.

Swimming and water recreation:

Fires should never be left unattended and must be fully extinguished.
No outdoor fires are permitted during a fire ban.
Do not burn anything in the firepit that is not meant for the fire pit (no cans, garbage, plastic, etc.).

Liability Waiver

All guests must read and agree to the Liability Waiver before booking. By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge and accept the terms of the waiver. A copy will be included in your confirmation emails—please review it carefully to understand your responsibilities.

There is no lifeguard on duty. Guests swim and participate in water activities at their own risk.
If you use water sporting equipment, a life jacket must be worn at all times.

Leave no trace policy:

Please take out what you bring in and be mindful of nature and wildlife. Do not leave any food or waste outside. We have lots of wildlife in the area, please keep everyone safe by storing food properly.
We do not have a waste management system. Please bring your garbage, recycling and compost with you when you check-out.

Communal Areas

With your rental you have access to the shared waterfront space, including the dock and rock seating area. We are currently working on building a communal sitting area and including water sports equipment for your stay.

What should I bring?

Upon booking we provide you with a detailed list of what the cabin includes and what items we suggest you bring. Some items we suggest you bring include cooking oil and spices, towels, flashlight, and bug spray.
We do not provide bedding and suggest you bring your favourite (coziest) bedding and pillows to make your stay feel as homey as possible.

How do I get there?

Hidden Haven is located in Pinawa, Manitoba. We recommend using Google Maps to find the best route to Pinawa from your location. We also provide you with directions to get to Hidden Haven Tiny Cabins upon booking.

Do you have Wifi?

We do not have Wi-Fi at this time. If you require Wi-Fi, we suggest using a hotspot or bringing a portable MiFi. If you would like to stream tv shows or movies, download shows/movies on your device before your stay. There is cell service at the cabin.
